Sunday morning we arrived at the church around 9:30 a.m. Usually Ethiopian services go long, they spend the first thirty minutes in prayer and boy can they pray! Then the choir sings for 30 minutes and then it's my turn. I preached on John 15 "No greater love than this that he lay down his life for a friend." I talked about a friend I have who is sick (Gordon) and that he wanted to go with me to Africa but couldn’t go. So I brought his favorite hat and every time I put it on I am reminded to pray for my friend.
